Statement: I’m from here, and I’m choosing to raise my family here. I want our children and grandchildren to have good futures here too. I understand the struggles of working Mainers through my work with local families as a school counselor, as well as my own experience. I have the advocacy and communication skills necessary to work effectively towards solutions. I am ready to work hard for our community and advocate for all of us in Augusta.
I grew up in a working-class family with its own share of challenges. I chose to become a school counselor to make a positive impact by giving students the skills they need to meet their potential academically, social-emotionally and in career development. My position gives me the opportunity to advocate for all students and families, regardless of political or religious affiliation, what they look like, where they come from, or how much money they make. I have spent my career working with families to solve problems, find resources and support children and youth at local, district and state-wide levels. I’m ready to bring my communication skills to Augusta to advocate for our communities
