Statement: I am fighting for people to be able to afford to live here, make a decent living, send their kids to quality schools, access the health care they need and live engaged lives through their senior years. I am running so that rural Maine can continue to be a place with a high quality of life, strong communities, protected natural resources, and where people can live lives of their own design. We need to encourage the growth of our small businesses, which are the economic drivers of our communities, and increase access to training and education for careers in technology, health care, as well as our heritage industries like shipbuilding and fishing. We must address the housing crisis here in Waldo County and across the state. There are simply too few places available for people to live, and many of the places people do find are priced well beyond what an average worker in the area can pay. Waldo County must be for all of us. I will continue to fight so that people who work here can afford to live here. Lastly, I am running to protect children from abuse and neglect and promote healthy communities for children.
