Statement: I am a United States Air Force veteran with over 30 years of experience in law enforcement, 18 of which have been administrative or supervisory. I have always believed in public service and have been blessed to have an exceptional law enforcement and military career. I have extensive experience in building and maintaining positive relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. I have served on the board of non-profit community agencies, worked with victims’ advocates for those who have been negatively impacted by crime, and worked closely with the housing authority, which led to helping many senior citizens in the community. I believe in the rule of law with compassion and when the need arises to enforce our laws, we should do so with respect to all involved, with the safety of individuals and the community at large at the forefront.
I will make a positive difference in serving the people of Waldo County by applying my knowledge and experience pertaining to the complexity of today’s law enforcement. Integrity, compassion and trust are my guiding principles and, combined with my experience and qualifications, make me most qualified to be your sheriff.
